Yes, the rabbit hole is indeed very deep. Thank you for explaining how you are handling this, very helpful in the decision-making how to proceed. But… Just as I am writing this there is another approach popping up in my head. It *might be possible* to come up with a Set of ConDoc tags called Design Options (instead of Architect, Interior or Flex) that has CONDITION _Existing 1 + Existing 2,   _Demolish 1 + Demolish 2, _New 1+ New 2…

It is not just a rabbit hole… it is more like a black hole… Yes, Mike B if you read this, I would love to hear your take on this AKA. an automated drawing set that allows us in the SD phase of a renovation or adaptive reuse project to automate those conceptual diagrams, plans and perspectives… Having a set like that would be life-changing!

    Thank you for your reply!

First step is a life model I can “walk the client through” and putting together a presentation in Layout for recap.

Second step is developing the chosen option further and creating a permit and construction set out of it.

Currently I am Using the Outliner to keep my Options organized, but since I am still kind of new to ConDoc I wonder how to set myself up for success with these more complex projects. I considered adding custom Tags for the various options to my Condoc Tags, but I still don’t know how it works if for example the same wall remains existing in Option 1 while being demolished in Option 2?? Or would these new Option Tags live outside the ConDoc and therefore not be controlled by it? but that would also mean they do not get exported?? I am confused…
