February 12, 2021 at 5:42 pm #27374Mike BrightmanKeymasterHello Akanoe,
I would highly recommend my book, “The SketchUp Workflow for Architecture”. I cover scrapbooks in great detail.
Did you watch all of the ConDoc 2D tutorials? I think that just about covers it all!

February 12, 2021 at 6:32 pm #27377Mike BrightmanKeymasterThanks for sharing! Keep in mind you are using the Scale tool in LayOut. So when you type 6000, it is scaling to 6000x. try typing “6000mm”… then Enter…
You need to include the units at the end to force it to a specific dimension.

February 12, 2021 at 6:37 pm #27379[email protected]Participantoooooooooooooooo it worked!!!! Finnally, i did not see any of those instructions, neither on the book, or the vids or even the sketchup help file!!
the thing is on your layout vid. you just press 46 and enter (for inches), without adding the unit….
well, problem solved, thanks man!
February 12, 2021 at 6:39 pm #27380Mike BrightmanKeymasterlol. sigh of relief! I know that can be frustrating. works the same way in SketchUp. Just include the units to force the scale tool to a specific dimension.
ConDoc 2D came after the book, so it’s not in there. I’m a huge fan though (obviously), I find it to fit in at almost all stages of design.
glad you are back up and running!
Mike
February 23, 2021 at 12:57 pm #27394[email protected]ParticipantMike, unrelated question…. is it common to layout behave so slowly?
I needed to update something on my model, and its like 10 minutes each refresh for a small apartment!
March 2, 2021 at 6:51 pm #27396Mike BrightmanKeymasterthat shouldn’t be the case. take a look at our 5 layout myths webinar and video series.
I wish I could help more, but this is definitely an issue specific to your project, or LayOut, or your machine, outside of ConDoc support. If you would like I can take a look on a 3d helpline. you can purchase on the premium support page.
Or, ask very specific questions and i will do my best to answer.
