ParticipantThis style doesn’t seem to be working for my foundation plans even though it’s selected. I’ve checked the style which shows the dashed option checked. How can I get it to work properly?

Mike BrightmanKeymasterHello Jim! Make sure Layer0/Untagged is set to dashed. It’s a little tricky how we achieve the vector dashes with ConDoc. In short, ALL lines are set to dashed in the tags panel, then the dashes are disabled through styles. Let me know if that clears things up!

ParticipantI’m not sure how it cleared things up for Jim, but I got intrigued by seeing this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYBesmsOpE4 and noticing one thing: How do you manage to be able to see both Dashed and Conitinuous lines in one viewport?
Which Tag is applied to the objects that appear as Dashed and is it applied to raw geometry or a group/component?
And which style is used here? For example, in. CD_Full Background Plan?
I’m pretty sure that I must have messed up something in my styles properties or how I applied my Tags and I can’t figure this out.
Another question: will there be Background Drawing Set ConDoc 5?

Mike BrightmanKeymasterArek! The dashed lines function in SketchUp is extremely limited. They completely missed the mark when they implemented this feature. It would have been infinitely better to assign dashes to lines in the entity info dialog. It is what it is! You are likely noticing edges I have turned to dashes using the Dashed Lines plugin, http://www.smustard.com/script/DashedLines.
ConDoc Tags can only be applied to groups and components, not edges or surfaces. This is an accepted limitation that drastically increases performance.
I believe the basic line drawing 00 style is used for background plans.
I moved the more simple “full background plan” to the ARCHITECT drawing set as a plan. You will find the old method in the “send to CAD” drawing set within the labs folder. Just click on the load drawing set button…
