I have an addition and remodel project to a 2 story home. I set up ConDoc with only one level and modeled the 2 story existing house as one block. Problem is my construction plan light is showing the roof of the existing house which covers up new construction below. I’ve edited the model of the existing house to have 2 floors and added a Level_02 to ConDoc tags. I can assign the second floor to Level_02 but can’t unassign that geometry from Level_01. How do I move geometry previously assigned to Level_01 to Level_02?
If you’re using the Sketchup Tags menu that’s your problem? If your using the ConDocs Tags menu accessed from the ConDoc System menu you should have LEVEL 01 and LEVEL 02 visible. Select LEVEL 02 for the objects you want on LEVL02 and deselect LEVEL 01. You”ll also need to create view sets for LEVEL 02. If you issue is in layout and you have all the views made in your Sketchup model use the Scene Update & Save button on the ConDoc tool bar to update your scenes and then update you model in layout. Hope that helps
Thanks Ruben. I’m a bit closer. Using ConDoc tags, I now have Existing Level_0 1 and Level_02. When I turn off Level_01, the correct existing geometry is displayed for the second floor. However, if I turn off Levle-02 and turn on only Level_01 I have a blank screen. Level-01 only displays when I have both Level_01 and Level-02 turned on. The result is my Construction Plan 01 scenes show no existing geometry? How do I fix?
I’m a bit confused when you say Existing Level_01 and Level_02. All your geometry for the 1st floor, existing or new should be on Level_01 and tagged with condition New or Existing. If all your second floor geometry is new then it all should be tagged Level_02 with condition New. When you say you can’t see certain things is that issue in Sketchup or Layout? If you want to send me your SKP file as well as your Layout file i’ll take a look and see what I can figure out for you. Email is [email protected]
