Just to answer a few of your questions.
- You can’t go wrong with using Dropbox to save your SketchUp and LayOut settings. We used Dropbox as our primary file management software up until we switched to Zoho Workdrive. Sounds like you have an idea of how to use the shared folders.. basically you want to put everything in there that you want to share between your two machines – For example, in the past, we used template folders, component folders, etc. You would open up the library from each machine and save it to your favorites but essentially, both of your computers at a given time are pulling from the same Dropbox folder. This makes it especially handy so that you don’t have to copy assets and content locally on each of your machines.
- You do not have to move your CD Drawings or CD Annotations to another folder after you install it (functionally, ConDoc will work when you fire it up by accessing the native files it installs on your computer) – although if you make custom drawing sets or custom scrapbooks you may choose to save them to your shared Dropbox folder as you would be able to access each file folder on either machine. Same applies to any custom style you would make.
Hope that helps!
