ParticipantHey folks, I am trialing Condoc and am a day into the learning so forgive my ignorance. I have a good knowledge of sketchup and layout and usually stack my own viewports but have been looking for a streamlined process so that’s why I am here. I am loving the freeze and isolate tag functions and even the tagging process is super quick and easy to understand. My question regards plan generating and export as drawing sets. I am unsure of what components or groups are meant to be on the provided tag list in the architectural set. Some are very self explanatory but when it comes to site elements, context, boundaries, etc I am not sure what goes on what tag so that the preconfigured plan drawings are showing the elements I want. Is there a list somewhere that says for instance the site boundary is on “location-site”,”element-context”,”condition-existing”‘,(no floor),”condoc-2d” OR that retaining walls should be put on “element-walls”,”location-exterior”,”condition-new”,”condoc-3d object”. I have just gone through an existing project and tagged everything on condoc tags rather than sketchup tags but the drawings generated are not showing the elements I expected they might. Even an outline of what each plan as a finished layout document is supposed to show would be helpful.
Thanks
Matt

ParticipantThere is a guide in the Knowledge base for layers although it is a little older. The other way you could do it is by going into the ConDoc Configurator and familiarizing yourself with the different scene sets. Each line under the scene set is a scene. open it up and look at the tagging. Once you understand them changes aren’t difficult, customizing the scene sets to get your output is easily done.
Feel free to post up with more specifics if you feel you need some more specific answers
I’ll say as a ConDoc’s user for the last few years, if you’re using Sketchup/Layout in a production/CD environment using and learning ConDocs will make a huge difference in your productivity. Hang in there

ParticipantThanks Ruben, I did find the layer information and have had a look at the configurator. It is making more sense than when I first jumped in. Appreciate the reply.
