    Hi,

This is the first time I have had a problem sending my project to the layout. My project was quite heavy, about 104 MB. So I thought that was the reason why Condoc (and the layout) was still “frozen and not responding after a while when I tried to transfer my project In this regard, I replaced the more complex 3D Objects with similar 2D graphic versions. This reduced my project to 51 MB. And again, Condoc and Layout freeze again. It seems, after having done some tests, by isolating different portions of my project, that it is only the furniture that causes the problem. The wall, the door and the window group together can be transferred in Layout. But when I add little by little the furniture in the project, the freezing occurs. I do not see what is wrong … Condoc or my 3D modeling. Can someone help me?

    Thank you!

Hello Kaneva!  This definitely sounds like a heavy model issue.  Or, an under-powered hardware issue?

You have nailed it with the troubleshooting process.  That’s exactly what I would have done.  The furniture is your culprit.  You should add in 2d graphics/3d objects for those too.

ConDoc is rock solid in what it is doing.  but if you ask it to shovel 100mb of model it will take a moment, especially if your hardware is not up to spec.  Which I don’t know if it is or isnt’t!  I hope this helps!

    I Mike,

I have added a 2D graphic for each 3D object so that I can halve the size of my sketchup model, around 50 MB. And yet the transfer to Layout does not happen. I have already done a fairly heavy project and this is the first time I have encountered this problem. But you’re right, I know that these are the 3D objects that generate all this, because there are many (my project is a restaurant). I have never made a project with so many articles. But I have no idea how to solve this problem, thinking by producing a 2D graphic for each 3D object would reduce the size of my project and solve this problem. I guess I will link the layout to the project without all the furniture and will gradually incorporate and update the layout after each addition to make sure everything will work together.

    Thank you for your respond!
