I’ve attempt to do both and interior perspective & exterior perspective. Every time I click on either perspective option SU crashes. Is this a graphics card issue, even the model has a 79 complexity or something else? If this is a graphic card issue, how can a setup the lighting for an interior perspective to get it to look right?

Hello Jim!  Can you tell me about your computer specs?  Mac or PC?

Try changing the perspective drawing “PRESENTATION” style to the “DESIGN” style.  It is not as heavy on the graphics card.

Let me know if that helps!

I’m using a 2016 MacBook Pro 15″. I was using the DESIGN style when I experienced the crashes.

    Thanks for helping OrgonGov!

Jim, you might try disabling “create scene thumbnails”. If your model has sevaral floors, we’ve noticed SU will struggle a bit and sometimes crash when creating scenes.

Also, try adjusting the style that you want before you create your perspectives (just update the “Presentation Style”). Macs are notorious for being under-powered when it comes to heavy graphics processing. You could also make sure your shadows are turned off in the style you’re trying to create before you make the scene. To be safe, I would ensure that all other programs are closed, and you only have SketchUp open.

    Give this a try.

Good suggestion about trying the DESIGN style.. correct, it’s not as heavy and may get you the scenes first without crashing that you can customize later.
