Dashed Line in 2D Objects

I’m trying to devise a scheme that will allow me to produce dashed lines and dash dot/centerlines in 2D objects. I’m trying to create 2D site plans from my model. Haven’t had much success in figuring out how so any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated.

What you are describing is possible via DashedLines plugin from Smustard: http://www.smustard.com/script/DashedLines

Following our standard ConDoc procedure, you would get the look you want with the lines, group them, assign them to your 2D Graphic layer as the partner piece to your 3D Object.
