    Hi,

I have been using the dashed lines fro SMUSTARD in the previous CONDOC  and recently watched the tutorial on CONDOC with the drawing sets for SU 2019 which has dashed lines in the TAGS.

Question. How do I assign the dashed lines to the CONDOC 2 D Graphic TAG in the Staircase floor Plan where I would like to show the steps above as dashed but the steps below the cut line as solid line ?

I am on the monthly subscription and subscribe when a project reaches the stage I need to do 2D permits etc but am wondering how do you achieve this without having to assign a separate group to the hidden lines in SU, then paste this group into the 2D Graphic Tag , then follow the usual nesting for Staircase where the 3D object is not shown in plan view.<video controls=”controls” width=”300″ height=”150″>

Hello Jeffrey!  One limitation of the new dashed lines per layer with ConDoc is…  we can only get one dashed line type.  I chose to use the traditional hidden line  – – – – – as our default.

I personally use the dashed lines plugin all the time.  I think it is the fastest and easiest way to force the look I want.

If you really want to dig in…  You could probably make another layer type that gets nested into the 2D graphic.  I would name the layers by the dash type, then assign the corresponding dash types to each layer.  The last layer in the nest is the one that rules.  In other words, if you create that last layer with a unique dash type it will overrule those above it in the nesting order.
