    Hello,

I just recently started using ConDoc Tools and really like what you have done. I just completed my first home design project using the tools and everything worked great. The only issue I had was when I was dimensioning the foundation plan (crawl space) it took me ages to get all of the dimensions placed and correct. It seems like there are multiple points that the dimensions want to snap to on any given corner. I have read through all of the documentation and I don’t find anything that I am missing. Hopefully it is something that I just am overlooking. I can come up with a work around but it seems that defeats the purpose of your system. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Ron

Hello Ron!  Glad things are mostly working out so far!

Yeah, LayOut will snap to every little edge/endpoint in SketchUp.  So if you have a bunch of small fragmented lines you could have some trouble.  You might go in to SketchUp and try cleaning up the bottom of your walls.

Another troubleshooting exercise.  Make a copy of the drawing you had trouble dimensioning.  Right-click on it and ungroup.  Then pull each of the stacked viewports apart and see if you can isolate the problem to a viewport.  Then go look at that viewport scene in SketchUp.

Let me know if this gets you closer.  Feel free to shoot the LayOut doc over to me, just make sure to update the .skp reference and save before sending.  [email protected].

Thanks Mike. I will give those things a try. I appreciate the quick response.
