So I have a bit of a conundrum with my foundation plan. As a standard practice I have always shown plumbing fixtures on my foundation and floor framing plans. This is super handy in the field especially for slab on grade construction. I want to be able to see these fixtures but they’re on a layer that isn’t used in the foundation plan and if you use there are way too many other entities on the Fixtures layer/group for it to be used. All my fixtures in question have 2D Graphics so that’s not an issue. The conundrum is where to create the layer and what effects that may have on anything else. I was thinking of adding a new element layer Element_Plumbing. this would give me the control I want to be able to choose between 2D & 3D and have it show either way in my foundation plan. Anyone know if this will work?
