I’m having an issue with LayOut. After I “send to LayOut” through ConDoc, the reference link gets broken  and turns red (in Document Setup window).

The connection to the SketchUp model is broken almost immediately. After that, I cannot re-link or update the model reference. Also, the reference file gets copied into a temp folder? Seems weird…

    Hello Greg!

Strange!?  It sounds similar to another issue.  When you have already run a ConDoc export, dropped drawings into your LayOut presentation, then go back to SketchUp, work on your model, run another ConDoc export, then drag more drawings in.  The issue is that the reference in the presentation is out of date, but the reference in the scrapbook is the latest and greatest.

Try updating your SketchUp reference before running the second ConDoc export.  Or at least update it before you start dragging and dropping drawings from the ConDoc Drawings scrapbook.

Feel free to give me a shout at 720.443.3242 to chat about it.

Thanks Mike…had to jump off that project for a few days, but will try re-sending to LayOut to see if that fixes the issue. If not, I’ll give you a call.

I think I figured it out. I had a folder naming issue that confused LayOut…weirdly, just that one file though. Other LayOut docs were okay???
