New Styles Don’t Work in Scenes

I save new styles into Condoc styles folder but when I create scenes the styles do not show up in the saved style. It defaults to a hatch? Any idea why or how to fix?

Hello Jeff,
You shouldn’t be adding styles to the ConDoc Styles folder… You can load them into the drawing set through the viewport properties dialog.
Be sure to watch the Configurator tutorials on the learn page.
Let me know if that gets you going in the right direction…

Thanks for quick reply! That’s not working either. I select the style i want in the configurator setting but it doesn’t create the correct style i selected. Is it because its a style i copied and modified?

possibly… if i remember right the style name is not necessarily the style file name. I think it’s actually baked into the style. make sure you are saving out the style you want with a unique name… give me a shout at the office in the next 15 and i can probably nudge you in the right direction… otherwise I’m around tomorrow too! 720.443.3242

Does that mess things up? Seems to be okay so far on my end.

Okay…so just went through a couple Learn videos. It’s preferred to save out Unique Styles to a separate folder, and not in the Plug-In folder? That makes sense…I never noticed the ellipses in the configurator to specify a different style when setting up drawings. Someday, I’ll feel like I know what I’m doing with ConDoc Tools, LOL.

So, now when I save my styles to a different folder on my desktop some work, and some don’t. Its driving me batty. Anybody else run into this and know what the issue is?

Hey Jeff! If you load the style into the drawing set it will travel with the .condoc file. This is a safer way to build a custom drawing set vs. adding custom styles to your plugins folder. Although, we did add some code to prevent overwriting custom styles, but it’s not recommended… Feel free to give me a shout at the office if you need a hand 720.443.3242…
