    Good morning,

I’ve been having some serious performance issues on very fast Mac (12 core, 48 GB RAM, SSD). I’m also experience a large number of crashes. I believe they are related to the Condoc plugin because it seems to occur with these actions. I don’t know what the possiblities are of corupt files but was hoping someone had experience getting to a fresh start with a document that is already mostly complete. Actions like exporting the Condoc, establishing a new Section are either painfully slow or crash the file.   In Layout, just trying to expand the size of the view port takes a inordinate amount of time.

The best that I can think to do is to start an entirely new document, import the MOGS and the cut and past in place. Any other ideas?

    Thank you,

    Joel

    Good Morning Joel!

I promise, the issue is not a failing ConDoc bug, it is more likely that your model is heavy and the automations are flexing your machine.  Have you seen this webinar series?  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4re50IFJeMo&list=PLOoXZrTMpCzCSF-bPjjwup3QMtrcvz4Eu.  This is extremely valuable information for any ConDoc user.

I bet you have a few heavy objects that are really slowing things down, it just takes one!  If you are okay with the model being shared and discussed openly, send it to me and if I can fix it I might make a quick tutorial about it.

Let me know if that helps!

    Mike,

Thank you for the prompt response. I haven’t reached out often but when I have you’ve been quick to reply. I appreciate the support and the tool!

I sent you a dropbox link. I don’t have any reservations about it being openly discussed.

    Mike,

The link you posted was in reference to Sketchup Myths. Did you intend to send another one?

Hello Joel!  No, that’s the one!  Give those techniques a shot for improving performance.  Especially “LayOut is Slow”.
