Howdy…can anyone think of a workflow to take a .dwg floor plan file, import it into sketchup, and make it look like an old blueprint? I mean white lines on a blue background. Taking it a step further, any way to impart some line weights as well!

I just want to do a favor for a past client, but not spend a ton of time.

    Thanks…Greg

ps…I suppose I could build a quick model and set a SU style.

    Hello Greg!
You are on the right track… you could definitely work up a style in SketchUp.
I think I would go for a dwg import directly into LayOut where you can control lineweights. Set the paper color to blue and your lines to white. I think you will get a better look there…
Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks Mike!

For some reason, i thought this didn’t post, so I never checked back in. Thank you for the response.
