Once you do the usual purge… Try this one, https://extensions.sketchup.com/extension/77b60f26-2352-407e-8c0c-9862c9716111/material-resizer. Knock your images down to 1024 at least… or 512 if they look okay.
Other than that, maybe there is a super heavy component somewhere in the model?
