We’re excited to announce the release of ConDoc 5.4, bringing a powerful set of improvements that make it easier to organize, document, and present your designs—whether you’re working on buildings, landscapes, or both.

The headline feature is the all-new LANDSCAPE Drawing Set, built specifically for landscape architects, designers, and site planners. With drawing types for grading, irrigation, lighting, planting, furniture, equipment, and drainage, this set provides everything needed to go from concept to construction. Plans are created using stacked scenes, preconfigured with optimized tags for fast, clean exports to LayOut—no manual viewport setup required.

We’ve also added two new tools to the ConDoc Drawings toolbar: Update Drawing Camera and Delete ConDoc Drawings. These give you one-click control over camera alignment and scene cleanup, helping you avoid the Scenes dialog altogether.

The ARCHITECT Drawing Set has been refined for clarity and compatibility. Tag updates—like ELEMENT_Terrain and ELEMENT_Buildings—make it easier to organize context, represent demo structures, and align with landscape elements. You’ll also find support for multi-tagged entities, allowing objects to span multiple locations or levels without duplication.

All new vegetation components and symbols are available in the ConDoc collection on 3D Warehouse, optimized for both 2D and 3D representation.

ConDoc 5.4 is a big step forward in simplifying documentation workflows—especially for site and landscape work. Everything is faster, cleaner, and more flexible.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for the effort you put into your extension! I’m wondering – do you have plans to integrate a template for usages with Curic Section to improve hatching? I can’t go without that extension for detailed drawings.

As a sidenote: I really love your tagging system. It makes a big difference in my workflow. Nonetheless, I believe the planned price hike for 2026 is a bit steep. If its necessary to keep things afloat so be it, but that’s my feeling.

    Hey Mike,

I am trying to download ConDocs to my Mac w/ Mac OS 26.2 (Sequoia) and was able to see the palettes but nothing on Layout.  There are no BD drawing sheets nor any link that I can see to ConDocs.

I quit out of SketchUp and Layout and now have lost most of ConDocs and still nothing on Layout.

I am sure my early issues are due to lack of knowledge but right out of the box, just about everything is invisible.

    Respectfully, Dave Olufs

    Hello Dave,

Make sure you follow the installation instructions here, https://support.condoctools.com/portal/en/kb/articles/installation-instructions.

You need to download the .rbz, then install in SketchUp using the Extension Manager.  When you install the .rbz in SketchUp, we dump all the resources in LayOut.  Be sure to close out of SketchUp and LayOut then reopen to ensure everything is loaded properly.

I’m in the office until 230pm MT today, feel free to give me a shout if you are still having trouble.  720.443.3242

Hey, just updated Layout and got the newest edition of Condoc on my Mac, Sequoia 15.7.3.

I did not intend to update Layout this year, kind of did it on its own.

I am having the weirdest problem. My scrapbook building elements, they aren’t “clicking together” So I make 4 sized 4.5″ bars to do a perimeter of the house. 9/10 times they would kind of align themselves, but all the sudden its not even allowing me to drag them together? This has happened in the past, but a new project would usually solve it and not sure if it’s a Layout issue or a Condoc issue because I am on a mac.

I have been using Layout and Sketch up for years now, but am by no means an expert. Hopefully this is a setting I can change on my end and not some Mac based issue with Condoc.

Hello Dave!  In LayOut, just right click off to the side and check on “Object Snapping”.  If you are coming from an older version, the behavior of the precise move grip may have changed a little.  You may need to be more intentional with your snapping.  A version or two ago they cleaned up the inferencing behavior which I think is what you are describing.  To get objects to snap, you now need to move that precise move grip to the first point of interest, then start dragging to move.  When you do that the object jumps so that your cursor is on the precise move grip, now you can snap to the next object.  Let me know if that helps!

Mike! Thank you, I didn’t get an email telling me a reply had been posted so I am just now seeing this and yes this absolutely is the solution to my issue. I didn’t mean to update, but this has really slowed my work flow as I only use all the software a few times a year, but when I need it I need it to work quickly.

The other big slowdown for me is when using the 4.5 walls I always like to lengthen them. So I double click and without zooming in really far every time it gives me the option to widen them? Is there any way to have it default to let me make the wall 10′ long vs 10′ thick? I hope that makes sense and I understand that might be yet another thing related to Trimble and not your plugin.

I primarily design and plan new construction homes, but I spend more time building them than using the software. Your product has made things a million times easier!
