Configurator

I’m having trouble getting the configurator to update the way I’ve got it dialed in to a Layout scrapbook version of it.

 

Long time CONDOC user, 1st time forum poster.  I’m finally getting into the back end, loving all the customizability.  I’m trying to use the configurator to make adjustments like reordering the scenes, omitting tags, etc.

 

Here’s my workflow:  make desired edit in the configurator > use the disc button in the configurator to save drawing set, overriding my last custom drawing set file, > uploading the custom drawing set file via the condoc system window in SketchUp > using the scene update & save button in the condoc drawing tool pallet > updating the reference SketchUp file in Layout > toggling off the condoc scrapbook then back on to it > then dragging from the scrapbook into my Layout file.

 

The scenes in Layout will not reflect the changes I made in the configurator.  Do I need to reset the programs?  Maybe save my drawing set file as a different name?  Please help.  Thanks!

I’ve found that doing this sort of thing is best accomplished with a test model and starting fresh with new drawing sets. This allows you to get things organized without the stress of trying to make it work on a paying job. I also ended up starting with new custom styles as well. All of this instead of trying to modify the stock ConDoc assets.  Definitely worth the effort to tailor ConDoc Tools to how your workflow and graphic style.
