trying to make sure I have things in the right place. Likely a dumb question as I am brand new to CONDOC
trying to drill down on the MOG block to place things and the tag says always off. when i turn it on the MOG disappears.
trying to set up a new project carefully for my first.
March 1, 2022 at 6:02 pm #30250Mike BrightmanKeymasterYou are in the right place! Thanks for asking on the forum so we all benefit!
We use the Always Off tag to hide objects from the drawings. This layer is usually used for a sketch concept that you are not ready to delete, or really anything that you don’t want to show in a drawing. So for the MOG’s, its a quick way to ensure the entire grid of tiles does not make its way into your drawing set.
Don’t miss our knowledge base either! It’s packed with a ton of helpful info… https://support.condoctools.com/portal/en/kb/articles/condoc-layers#TSWFAConDoc_Default_Layers.
Let me know if that helps… Thanks for your support!
March 1, 2022 at 6:16 pm #30251[email protected]Participantwhen I turn it to ALL ON the MOG disappears so I do not know how to make sure I am placing items in the system correctly. perhaps I need to continue watching, I watched using the mogs and began building while I am continuing to watch. I can’t seem to figure out how to make sure the new geometry is in the right place. I can see how that is critical/
March 1, 2022 at 6:25 pm #30252Mike BrightmanKeymasterNot sure why ALL ON would be turning your MOG off. Here’s a few things to check…
- verify that ConDoc PRO Architect drawing set is active. Just click the folder icon to load it.
- Check if there is a tag assigned to your MOG.
- Are there any “non ConDoc” layers in your model?
I am in the process of redesigning the ConDoc System… The button states are confusing, maybe you are actually triggering ALL OFF?
Let me know if that gets you closer to solving the issue…
March 1, 2022 at 6:47 pm #30253[email protected]Participantthank you. there is no tag assigned to the MOG so I set one up and will work it that way until I figure this out. When I try to use the buttons it tells me it is in CONDOC-ALWAYS OFF . assume I not using this correctly.
there may be non-condoc layers. are these three Lines, Hidden LInes and Generic Models non-condoc?
March 1, 2022 at 6:55 pm #30254Mike BrightmanKeymasterNot sure I understand what you mean by… ” I try to use the buttons it tells me it is in CONDOC-ALWAYS OFF”. Can you clarify?
Yeah, those tags are not part of our system. Our layers are prefixed with LEVEL, ELEMENT, LOCATION, CONDITION, CONDOC. You can add layers/tags, but it’s typically best to do so in the Configurator… which is definitely advanced. Here’s how we treat layers outside of our system…
- ConDoc PRO Architect – turns any layer outside of our system off for any drawings you create
- ConDoc LT – uses the current visibility state for any layer outside of our system for any drawings you create, in other words you don’t need to use our layers.
