    Screen Shot 2Hi Condoc Team,
I am on the trial Version of 5.1 ….it is a real game changer ! I have used the previous versions of Nested groups and have one question on the items that “traditionally” required several nested groups EG. Door. This would have had the Element_Door, Untagged, Condoc_2D Graphic and Condoc_3D Object Tags. I noticed in the DEMO of the ADU , the Element_Door already had the CONDOC_2D Graphic assigned to it.
Am I correct that in the latest CONDOC 5.1 , the correct “way” to TAG is to MULTIPLE TAG the DOOR as follows:
    1) Group the Loose Geometry of the Door.
    2) Group the loose Geometry of the door swing representation.
    3) In the CONDOC System, assign the door as follows:

Element_DOOR, CONDOC_2D Graphic, CONDOC_3D Object,CONDITION_New, LEVEL _. All the TAGS in the CONDOC TAGS DIALOG Window will be highlighted in red as ELEMENT,CONDOC, LEVEL. See attachment screenshot.

    Hi ,

I managed to resolve the problem :

    1. The autosave function in SU 2020 saves the file with a different name. Hence the LO link is constantly searching for a different file.I disabled the function.
    2. Do not assume that the CONDOC scene generation will all have the same camera location. For some reason mine was all off. I checked all the scenes generated by CONDOC, unchecked all the properties to update EXCEPT the camera, updated the scenes.
    3. This seems to have resolved the problem.

Does anyone else have this issue ?

    Jeff

    Hi,

I had this problem too but after having read the instructions on the download from the 3D warehouse, I tried the following for a 15 storey project. Hope I did it correctly ..so far so good as I am evaluating the 4.8 version having started of on a version that did not have the MOG with the CONDOCTOOLS 2 years ago. It’s a process that is a little difficult to grasp ( for me) but once you get a full understanding of the “container within container” , the MOG is brilliant.

Just remember that you will have to “make unique” each of the MOG you copied from the original downloaded and to assign a tag associated with the floors generated by the Plan Generator. I searched for a multi level tutorial by Mike but could not find one …it’s the single floor garage although I do recall seeing it on the Denver house …can’t seem to find this with multiple MOGs.

The MOG can be downloaded from the 3D WAREHOUSE . Please note that it functions like a component and you have to assign it to a level AFTER you run the plan generator and have input the number of levels you need.

It takes SKETCHUP PRO to a whole new level. Remember , since SketchUp discipline requires you to organise in groups, components, tags and scenes it’s best to use a system that takes the grunt work out for you.

    Hi,

I have experienced numerous bug spats while using a Mac. I also run the exact identical system on a PC…no problems. Same drawings, same Condoc 4 .5.

    Hi All,

I have just seen the “new” features on SU 2019 and am pretty disappointed . Dashed lines….Mike has already shown us how to use the App from SMUSTARD.

Personally, I am going to stick with SU 2018 ….am sure Mike and the team will come up with some more great ideas that will still work with SU 2018.

    Yes

In CONDOC V4 , you can go to the CONFIGURATOR to adjust all the different layers, viewports, linetype, style and the order they will stack on each other in Layout.

You can even add your own layers too!

    Hi

‘I have been trying CONDOC V4 on a WINDOWS machine and a Mac. I noticed that on a Mac , the Scrapbook shows “ condoc document backup” whereas this is missing on the Windows machine after many exports to Layout. So it makes sense that the scrapbook should be closed  when when performing a new export.

I think this was what was causing my Mac to crash …thanks for the tip!

    Hi

I switched to v4 and have not had any issues with the layers…make sure your  condition layer (demolished, existing or new) is nested accurately as the plan generator is very sensitive to this. Keep to LELC…Level,Element,Location,Condition.

You can even try the configuration to customise your own layers ,line weights and scenes to fine tune your drawings…for example to create an Elevation that shows parts of the building to be demolished.I must say you have to understand the system of grouping/nesting/layering throughly before you tackle customisation….the effort is worth it to fully get the most out of CONDOC V4.
